"Bob has certainly mastered his craft as an entertainer. His moves are will rehearsed; the timing of his jokes is impeccable. He responds to television cameras like a pro, and covers himself well in any situation that he finds himself in (and he's really funny!) Bob is extremely skilled and fascinating to watch…whether he is warming up, juggling knives, unicycling, working with the Diablo, or kibitzing with the audience. He keeps things upbeat, uses music to his advantage, and keeps things very well paced. "Mat's performance was terrific! He had the audience in the palm of his hands from his opening right thru to the closing and received a standing ovation at the end. I have never seen this group of people become so involved and responsive to an entertainer. The room was jumping with energy and enthusiasm of people were clapping with the music, tapping their toes and just having a great time. I hope Mat and Sandy had as much fun doing the show as we had watching it. Mat's vocal range was incredible and the speed that he changed from one character to another was unbelievable.
I would recommend Mat Gauthier to anyone. His act was funny and extremely entertaining, his voice was incredible. His show appealed to every age as the entertainers he portrayed came from the last 30 or 40 years right up to today. And all that without a single swear word. His act was so good that people didn't even notice that it wasn't X rated.
I know the room was smaller than Mat would probably have liked. We normally have 120 people out for these events, but we maxed out the room with 150 attendees. That took up some room that I had originally planned for the stage area. Mat met with the sound guy I had hired and worked it out and later told me it wasn't a problem even though I'm sure it was.
